Nature reserve at Grange Farm
Nature reserve at Grange Farm, Lessingham
We are in the process of creating a small nature reserve for visitors who stay on the caravan site.
Grange Farm offers a number of locations where you can stop to sit and watch wildlife – with views within a wood, across a pond or over a meadow of wild bird seed mix.
We recently surveyed birds visiting the Grange Farm site and identified 90 different species! The huge variety of birds spotted included kingfishers, woodcocks, hobbies, ring ouzel, teal and snipe.
In addition, our camera traps around the site have recorded footage of barn owls, buzzards, woodpeckers, badgers, red deer, and many more creatures. We have recorded 9 different bat species and 391 moth species.
